Purpose
This grant supports progress toward completion of the Early Construction Phase of the Thirty Meter Telescope. The Thirty Meter Telescope, to be built on Mauna Kea, will be the first of the next-generation giant optical/infrared ground-based telescopes capable of peering into the beginning of the universe. This grant is paired with an identical award to the University of California.
