Through support for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Department Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, researcher Mick Follows uses computational modeling to study virtual ecosystems, integrating marine microbial genomic information, ocean circulation patterns, and geochemical cycles in an effort to mimic natural selection.
