In these days when widespread development is common, animals often encounter busy roads, fences and developments, inhibiting their natural range.
The Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority and its partners are working to secure safe passage for wildlife across the Coyote Valley. The Coyote Valley is the last remaining open space connecting the Santa Cruz mountains and the Diablo range. This land area encompasses over 500,000 acres of protected habitat and is vital for plants and animals.
We support the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority in their efforts to remove barriers to wildlife passage, and protect important areas like the Coyote Valley, from development.
