Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
This year’s Golden Goose Awardees continued to be nothing short of amazing. Scientists were recognized for studies on the distribution of human population at different altitudes and how this research has impacted different areas from disaster preparedness to changes to potato chip packaging and person computer cooling systems. Others were honored for their early research on visual perception that could go on to help explain the brain’s ability to rewire itself, and there is also researchers who developed the famous “marshmallow test.”
The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation’s Science Program has been a supporter of the Golden Goose Awards since its inception in 2012. We’re proud to be part of recognizing and awarding scientific research that has led to major breakthroughs and that further illuminates the importance of investing in science as shared by our president, Harvey V. Fineberg, and Gordon Moore in our Founder's Intent.
