The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation today announced the appointment of K. Niles Bryant as the Director of Real Assets for its $6 billion investments portfolio. Niles Bryant, previously of Carnegie Corporation of New York, succeeds Denise Strack who was recently appointed as the Foundation’s Chief Investment Officer.
“Niles joins the team from a preeminent institution with a strong track record of performance in real estate and natural resources investing. We expect that his experience and network of relationships will strengthen the existing platform and provide new opportunities for the Foundation’s real assets portfolio,” said Strack. “We are extremely pleased to welcome him to the team,” Strack continued.
Bryant will assume leadership of the Foundation’s real assets portfolio, which has a long-term target allocation of 18% of the Foundation’s assets.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Bryant served as Associate Director of Real Estate and Resources at Carnegie Corporation of New York. Prior to his tenure at Carnegie, Niles was an attorney focused on capital market and M&A transactions. Bryant holds an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law, and a B.A from the University of Michigan, magna cum laude.
