Since its founding, Save Mount Diablo has worked with its partners to preserve more than 110,000 acres of the Diablo wilderness.
The Moore Foundation supported Save Mount Diablo’s acquisition of North Peak Ranch, an 87-acre property that had been at risk of development in a habitat-sensitive wildlife corridor on the slope of Mt. Diablo.
“Save Mount Diablo’s persistence and strategic approach have led to tremendous conservation gains on and around Mt. Diablo,” said Dan Winterson, program officer, San Francisco Bay Area Program. “North Peak Ranch is a highly-visible property that is an important addition to their record of protection.”
The featured video below is the third in a series, highlighting the many San Francisco Bay Area Program grantees and their partners who are helping to preserve the special character of the Bay Area endures for future generations.
