Santa Cruz County officials announced Friday that the process has begun to explore the reuse of the now decommissioned cement plant in Davenport.
Sempervirens Fund, a land trust working to preserve redwood forests in the Santa Cruz Mountains, is a major partner with the county on this project, and is partially funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
