In support of the development of a potential breakthrough solution to the issue of high energy costs as both a barrier to sustainable economic development and a driver of ecosystem degradation in rural Alaska. The project will provide proof of concept of a scalable vertical-axis wind turbine farm in the village of Igiugig, which will eventually supply the majority of local electricity demand.
