The California Institute for Health Systems Performance is using this grant to lead pilot implementation of the San Francisco Bay Area Evidence-Based Nursing Practice Initiative to accelerate the adoption of standardized nursing practices based on evidence, leading to improved patient outcomes. Results for this program will include significant improvement in sepsis management and pneumonia in hospital units participating in the pilot.
