To support the implementation of a hospital-wide program to reduce sepsis (overwhelming bloodstream infection) mortality through evidence-based practices for early identification and treatment of severe sepsis and septic shock. This grant supports the implementation of best practices that will lead to a reduction in sepsis mortality, sustained through 2017.
