Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
The International Conservation Caucus Foundation promotes the projection of U.S. leadership for international conservation worldwide. It was established in 2003 and is based in Washington, D.C.
The foundation brings together leaders at the highest level of government, business and the nongovernmental organization community, and strives to set the conservation and environmental agenda by coordinating people with scientific expertise, organizations that support and manage programs on the ground and policymakers who shape legislation.
The mission of the foundation has been to serve as the nucleus for congressional leadership for U.S. international conservation, in concert with the protection of U.S. business and national security interests worldwide. The organization underpins the leadership of the bipartisan U.S. Congressional International Conservation Caucus, which comprises more than a third of the U.S. Congress. In addition, the foundation educates policymakers on international issues of natural resource management throughout the legislative process.
