The Paulson Institute is a nonpartisan think tank and research institution founded in 2011 with the goal of attempting to solve today's most pressing economic and environmental challenges in the United States and China, as well as promoting positive systemic cooperation between these two global powers through aggressive research done by a worldwide network of prominent thinkers.

Based in Chicago, the Paulson Institute was established by Henry M. Paulson, Jr., the 74th Secretary of the Treasury and former chief executive of Goldman Sachs, to promote economic growth and environmental preservation in the United States and China through programs, advocacy and research.

Our work with the Paulson Institute includes efforts to develop and deploy a suite of sustainability measures focused on natural resource use in Chinese cities to raise awareness and ultimately inform the development of national sustainability standards. In addition, we support the Institute’s efforts to assess supply and demand for responsible soy from South America to China.
