Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is a comprehensive public research university and the largest public institution of higher education in the state. Established in 1766, Rutgers has three campuses located in New Brunswick, Newark and Camden. Instruction is offered by 9,000 faculty members in 175 academic departments to over 45,000 undergraduate students and more than 20,000 graduate and professional students.

Rutgers is comprised of 31 schools and colleges—including the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers Law School, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.  Rutgers’ nearly $746 million in annual research and development expenditures occur in clinics and centers, in labs and libraries, in the field and across the globe.

Our work with Rutgers University includes evaluating forest resilience in protected areas of the southern Yucatán, studying the Antarctic marine ecosystem with a robotic cluster and funding an investigator award in the area of emergent phenomena in quantum systems.
