Northern California Grantmakers informally began in 1965 as a network devoted to exchanging ideas, improving cooperation among foundations, and increasing knowledge of community problems. Officially incorporated in 1981, the organization has grown to support over 150 grantmaking organizations and individuals who have a combined grantmaking total of more than $3 billion annually.
NCG is an energetic partner in Northern California’s philanthropic community. We bring funders and other key stakeholders together to tackle big issues and achieve shared goals.
