Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
Aurora Health Care is a nonprofit health care organization serving communities in eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Formed in 1984 when two Milwaukee hospitals joined to provide more care to more people, Aurora is made up of an extensive network of 15 hospitals, more than 150 clinics and 70 pharmacies in 30 communities. The organization’s Well Community programs provide free and low-cost services for those with little or no health insurance.
In addition to clinical care, the organization conducts research and has more than 400 active clinical trials. New generations of health professionals receive training from over 300 teaching faculty. Aurora Health Care also partners with other organizations to expand coverage in Milwaukee and to make health care accessible and affordable to low income residents.
