Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
Based in Springfield and founded in 1977, the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders contributes to the advancement of nurse leadership and management through educational, networking and leadership opportunities. An affiliate of the American Association of Nurse Executives, the organization provides direction for achievement of excellence in nursing leadership. It promotes professional development, networking, research and innovation for the advancement of nursing practice.
Members have an opportunity to develop strategic relationships with executives, educators, consultants, clinical experts and organization leaders. Frequent regional meetings and semi-annual statewide educational sessions supply the foundation with cutting-edge information. The annual Kellogg Program, co-sponsored with Northwestern University, provides a one-week management immersion for nurses interested in executive management content. The membership organization also offers scholarships at the state and regional level.
