Founded in 2006, the National Association of Indian Nurses of America is professional organization for nurses and nursing students of Indian origin/heritage that creates a community of excellence in nursing practice and health care through networking and collaboration. Based in Northlake, Illinois, the association has over a dozen chapters across the United States.
Educational activities include an annual conference, an aspiring leader development program, community education seminars and various workshops. The association also sponsors an awards program and an undergraduate nursing student scholarship. Local chapters partner with cultural and religious groups, as well as professional organizations and health care agencies, to conduct health fairs in their communities.
