Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
Founded at a conference of health care reporters in March of 1997, the Association of Health Care Journalists is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing public understanding of health care issues. Its mission is to improve the quality, accuracy, and visibility of health care reporting, writing and editing. There are more than 1,500 members of AHJC.
The AHJC aims to support the highest standards of reporting, writing, editing, and broadcasting in health care journalism for the general public and trade publications. They hope to raise the stature of health care journalism in newsrooms, the industry, and the public, as a whole.
