Established in 1636, Harvard University is a private Ivy League research university based in Cambridge and Boston, Massachusetts with an enrollment of more than 20,000 degree candidates, including undergraduate, graduate and professional students.
Harvard has more than 360,000 alumni around the world. As the oldest institution of higher education in the United States, its history, influence and wealth have made it one of the most prestigious universities in the world. To date, Harvard’s alumni include eight U.S. presidents, several foreign heads of state, 62 living billionaires, 335 Rhodes Scholars, and 242 Marshall Scholars. In addition, 150 Nobel laureates and five Fields Medalists are on the Harvard faculty (or were when the award was given).
Our work with Harvard University includes modeling interactions between climate, forests and land use in the Amazon basin, developing genetic tools to study marine diatoms and several investigator awards through the Emergent Phenomena in Quantum Systems initiative.
