La Fundación para la Conservación y el Desarrollo Sostenible (FCDS) promotes peacebuilding through land use that promotes environmental protection and sustainable development, especially in the Colombian Amazon.

The Foundation's work with local communities and organizations and state authorities at the local, regional and national levels includes the following strategies:

  • Environmental and sectoral territorial ordering,
  • Formalization of land tenure,
  • Conversion to sustainable production practices from the use and conservation of biodiversity,
  • Strategy for prevention and management of social and environmental conflicts
  • Maintenance of connectivity corridors,
  • Declaration and management of protected areas,
  • Analysis of cumulative and synergistic impacts of different interventions in the territory, for example vials and
  • Participatory and environmental justice, among others.
