Based in San Francisco, California, Pelican Media is a nonprofit organization whose primary aim is the production of films with environmental themes. Its special focus is the relationship between people and animals in the urban habitat.
Recent projects include The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, a feature documentary about the relationship between a homeless street musician and a flock of wild parrots in San Francisco, and the Salt Pond Habitat Restoration Archive Project, a still photography documentation of the tidal marsh restoration project in South San Francisco Bay.
The organization also offers documentary film consulting services, including conceptualizing, producing and distributing film/media projects.
