Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
Fundacion Ecuatoriana de Estudios Ecologicos (Ecuadorian Foundation for Ecological Studies) was founded in 1989 to generate better data for conservation and development decision-making in Ecuador. Its staff of ecologists, geographers, economists, anthropologists, administrators, sociologists and planners work together to develop new methodologies and tools in the fields of biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
The Quito-based foundation partners local regional governments, municipalities, provincial councils, local non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations in finding solutions to social and environmental problems. The foundation also offers socio-environmental monitoring services, such as in the utilization of water resources, a digital library and a training program for the democratic management of natural resources.
Thank you for sharing.
