Fundación Natura (Nature Foundation) was founded in 1983 to help conserve Colombia’s biodiversity. Based in Bogata, it is the country’s oldest and largest environmental organization. It conducts scientific research and develops and implements environmental management projects in areas of high biodiversity by Working directly with local communities and with officials from national, regional and local government and grassroots organizations, the foundation conducts scientific research and implements environmental management projects. The foundation also offers various educational and training programs and research support for college students.
