Founded in 1834, Wake Forest University is a private research university in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The university balances the personal attention of a liberal arts college with the academic vitality and broad opportunities of a research university. It offers a liberal arts core, graduate and professional schools and innovative research programs for over 7,000 students.
