The Foundation for California Community Colleges, based in Sacramento, California, and incorporated in 1998, provides effective services and innovative solutions for the largest higher education system in the nation.
The foundation seeks out opportunities to help facilitate collaboration, accelerate innovation and increase system-wide resources through a variety of ways, including entrepreneurial programs, philanthropy, and state and federal grants and contracts. Its programs reach all 113 California community colleges and 72 districts, and are designed to benefit students, colleges, college foundations and the overall system, helping to improve higher education opportunities throughout the state.
The foundation serves as the official auxiliary to the California Community Colleges’ board of governors and the system-wide chancellor’s office. Its accomplishments include distributing over 15,000 scholarships to community college students and serving over 20,000 current and former foster youth and other high-risk populations through a variety of programs and services.
