Founded in 1988, Fundación Amigos de la Naturaleza (Friends of Nature Foundation) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity in Bolivia. Their work emphasizes social participation and administrative transparency. Research activities range from the development of a master plan for the protected areas of Santa Cruz to river water management planning in the Parapetí basins. The foundation also sponsors an international green film festival, numerous workshops and technical trainings.
