Founded in 2002, the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership is a coalition of organizations and grassroots partners working together to preserve the traditions of hunting and fishing. In addition to a board of trustees, policy council, union partners and staff, the Washington, D.C.-based partnership is made up of 35,000 individual advocates and 1,400 affiliated local and state-level clubs and organizations. Its mission is to guarantee all Americans quality places to hunt and fish by uniting and amplifying its partners’ voices to strengthen federal policy and funding.
Along with its partners, the organization works to expand access to places to hunt and fish, conserve fish and wildlife habitat and increase funding for conservation and wildlife management. Current issue areas include agriculture, backcountry conservation, conservation funding, energy, fisheries, Pebble Mine, national forests and water.
