Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
Located in Mountain View, California, the Computer History Museum is dedicated to exploring the history of computing and its ongoing impact on society. Its mission is to preserve and present the artifacts and stories of the Information Age for posterity.
The museum is home to the largest international collection of computing artifacts in the world, including hardware, software, documentation, photographs, oral histories and moving images. Large-scale installations, docent-led tours and online exhibits offer a variety of ways for people to engage with the content and build science literacy. A speaker series brings in high tech visionary leaders, past and present, to share their insights and experiences. Educational programming targets third to 12th graders, teachers, college students and faculty. Additionally, the annual Computer History Museum Fellows Awards honor exceptional men and women whose ideas have changed the world.
