Alison Turnbull, D.V.M., M.P.H., Ph.D.

Research Description

Engaging surrogates and physicians to ensure concordant critical care.

Research Impact

Dr. Turnbull’s research will establish the reliability of a methodology for categorizing the concordance between treatment goals and interventions performed in the ICU. She is also partnering with ICU physicians to understand barriers to discussing patients’ function prognosis and quantifying the variability in engagement techniques among ICU physicians through simulated family meetings.
