Biography

Denise oversees investments for the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Before assuming the chief investment officer position in 2008, Denise was the director of private equity and real assets for the foundation. Previously, she served as director of private equity at Stanford Management Company, where she oversaw investments in private and long-biased public equity relationships and was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company in its private equity and financial services practices.

She received a B.S. in industrial engineering and an M.B.A., both from Stanford University.

Denise was a member of the United States National Gymnastics team. She currently serves as an investment committee member for the Marin Community Foundation and a family office. She enjoys coaching mathletes to middle school students, traveling and skiing with her husband and six children.
