Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
To characterize the changes in entanglement – a form of quantum correlation – in interacting solid-state electronic spin systems to better understand how complex quantum systems reach equilibrium. Equilibration in quantum systems has fundamental implications for quantum statistical physics which governs the properties of systems from the nanoscale to galactic structures.
