The University of Montana's Flathead Lake Biological Station received this grant for research into the biodiversity and bioproductivity of Pacific salmon ecosystems. Outcomes for this grant include establishment of five pristine salmon river observatories as reference systems for studying pristine and degraded salmon watersheds around the Pacific Rim.
