Foundation president, Harvey Fineberg, and chairman emeritus and co-founder, Gordon Moore, discuss the Statement of Founders’ Intent with staff.
Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation is using this grant to support Washington Hospital Healthcare System’s participation in the pilot phase of the Evidence-Based Practice Initiative, a program with the goal of accelerating the adoption of nursing evidence-based best practices in adult acute care hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through participation in the pilot program, Washington Hospital Healthcare System will provide nurse education in evidence-based care and will implement standardized nursing guidelines, leading to the outcomes of a significant improvement in sepsis management and a reduction in pneumonia.
