To implement the Clinical Advancement in Research and Education project, a comprehensive program to implement nursing-led quality councils and evidence-based practices at the bedside at each of the grantee's three acute care hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through the grant, the hospitals will use a nursing-led quality council methodology (as implemented by the Integrated Nurse Leadership Program) with an immediate focus on reducing severe sepsis mortality.
