Bolstered by the National Forest Program and with support from this grant, Imazon is working to create and manage sustainable forestry areas in Brazil. Outcomes include increased financial and administrative capacity, implementation of a forest sector monitoring system, increased transparency and capacity for enforcement, and a map of priority areas for national forest creation (four million hectares) and dissemination of information to decision-makers and stakeholders.
