The Organization for Tropical Studies is using this grant to build local NGO and institutional capacity to protect and manage biodiversity. Outcomes include conservation training materials (in Spanish and Portuguese), the training of decision-makers (30 from Peru and Brazil) and protected area managers (30 from Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru), and certification of five trainers from Bolivia and Peru.
