To support the Surinamese Government to implement land rights and demarcate indigenous lands, enabling conditions for Protected Area and Indigenous Territory creation over 4.49 million hectares. The project will also implement components of effective management for 9 million hectares in Suriname and Brazil by training indigenous and non-indigenous park guards, establishing a permanent park guard training center in Amapá, and developing management and sustainable finance plans for the 4.2 million ha Tumucumaque Indigenous Reserve.
