The Save-the-Redwoods League is using this grant to purchase forest lands in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This acquisition helps protect old-growth redwoods, the upper reaches of the Pescadero Creek watershed, and coho and steelhead habitat. Outcomes for this grant include protection and stewardship of 80 acres of forest adjacent to Portola Redwoods State Park.
